OMPT 2023: Our year in numbers

At OMPT, we are dedicated to improving how we support institutions by providing applicants with a safe and easy math competency check. We are thrilled to see our efforts paying off, as we are helping an increasing number of international students bridge the gap between their math qualifications and gain access to their desired study programs. We want to take this opportunity to celebrate our achievements with you and express our gratitude to all who have made it possible.

Our year in numbers

OMPT supports 21 institutions and is being accepted for 138 study programs. This year, we are thrilled to welcome new partners like Arcada University of Applied Sciences, Hanze University of Applied Sciences, and Zuyd University of Applied Sciences.

We have significantly grown among previous institutions like the University of Amsterdam, Maastricht University, and Leiden University. Apart from being a market leader in the Netherlands, we are expanding to other countries like Finland.

This year, 3,196 tests were submitted. 2,910 applicants from 115 countries took our OMPT exams.

Our tests are accessible 24/7 from anywhere, allowing us to reduce the environmental impact of traditional admissions solutions that require students to travel. Remote testing has saved 1,054.68 metric tons of carbon emissions, equivalent to charging 128,332,992 smartphones.

Moreover, we have helped universities save a total of 1426.2 hours by managing the entire testing process, grading, and addressing students’ queries. This means that admission offices now have more time to focus on other aspects of the admission process and better support prospective students during their application journey.

Partnerships

Ecctis & OMPT

We continue successfully partnering with Ecctis, a trusted authority in international education and qualifications. Together, we bring our popular admission solution to the United Kingdom.

In 2023, we have also hosted talks that can help admission officers better understand the international secondary qualifications landscape and how admission officers can streamline their operations when assessing students’ math proficiency. Check out this blog post to learn more about this topic.

Preply: Facilitating students to find math tutors

For students who want additional preparation (apart from our practice materials), we have partnered with Preply. This tutoring company offers an online platform that connects students with independent tutors via video chat. Students can use this solution to purchase private lessons to enhance their OMPT preparation.

Thank you!

We want to finish by thanking our team for enabling these achievements. We are also grateful to all the institutions that trust us to support international students in developing and proving their math proficiency with us.

Do you have any suggestions you would love to see on OMPT in 2024? We are always open to your feedback. Don’t hesitate to contact us.
